Here is how I make boiled eggs. Cooking them is easy … it’s getting them “nicely peeled” that I have challenges with:<\/p>\n\n\n

  1. PLACE eggs in saucepan large enough to hold them in single layer<\/span><\/div><\/li>
  2. ADD cold water to cover eggs by 1 inch<\/span><\/div><\/li>
  3. HEAT over high heat just to boiling<\/span><\/div><\/li>
  4. REMOVE from burner<\/span><\/div><\/li>
  5. COVER pan<\/span><\/div><\/li>
  6. Let eggs STAY in hot water about 15 minutes for large eggs (12 minutes for medium eggs; 18 minutes for extra large)<\/span><\/div><\/li>
  7. DRAIN immediately and serve warm<\/span><\/div><\/li><\/ol><\/div>
    COOLING<\/div>
    <\/div>
    1. Cool completely under cold running water or in bowl of ice water, then REFRIGERATE<\/span><\/div><\/li>
    2. Let them stay in the FRIDGE a couple hours or over night and then peel<\/span><\/div><\/li><\/ol><\/div>
      PEELING<\/div>
      <\/div>
      1. Gently tap egg on countertop until shell is finely crackled all over<\/span><\/div><\/li>
      2. Roll egg between hands to loosen shell<\/span><\/div><\/li>
      3. Starting peeling at large end, holding egg under cold running water to help ease the shell off<\/span><\/div><\/li><\/ol><\/div><\/div>\n \n
